Flight to Mars 2008 Benefit Artwork

We're please to once again partner with the Wishlist Foundation to provide artwork for the 2008 Flight to Mars benefit show. Our inspiration was vintage airline advertising with a sci-fi twist. We've produced art for a limited edition tote bag, VIP pass to the concert and a full color handbill to be included in the VIP goodie bag. We've also launched Mile Hi-Fi Club as a place to put all the other materials we created just for fun. You can find a desktop wallpaper, Flight to Mars paper airplane, a Flight to Mars insignia badge, a flip book, a vintage Flight to Mars Spacelines ad and many other goodies. Plus, you can take a test to determine if you're mentally fit for space travel. Be sure to check it out - (over)!

To learn more about the show, please visit this link over on the Pearl Jam message board.

Petraeus: Bringing sexy back or just whore-ish and a little chubby?

General David Petraeus, commander of the US armed forces in Iraq, met with Congress this week to give his much anticipated report on the President's surge as well as to throw out some "war with Iran" chum to frenzy the circling authoritarians.

I wonder what Bush would say if he posted on Youtube.

This marks the first Bush parody I've seen where Bush is crying like the big baby we all know he is. I love it! I'm waiting for video, parody or not, of Bush throwing himself to the ground in a tantrum screaming "BUT I'M THE PREZDENT, I"M THE PREZDENT!!! ME!! GEORGIE W!!! DADDY!!! UNCLE DICK!!! PRINCE ABDULLAH!!! GEORGE WASHINGTON, I MEAN MOM!!!"

It took this sad, sad example of humanity below to bring the above video about.
DUMBGUN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SEIZURES, CONVULSIONS, DRY HEAVES OR THE LOSS OF ONE'S LUNCH.

And it took this sad, sad example of humanity below to bring about the sad, sad example above.

Oh Boy, Alberto!

Unfortunately we were on the wrong side of the West Central Community Center in little ol' Spokane, WA (Big city feel/redneck mentality ie. lots of Rascal Flats fans) as there is no footage of our Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. This vid does have footage of two people being arrested, one of which was in a wheelchair.

Why Spokane? He apparently was here for a roundtable meeting on gang violence where only law enforcement was allowed to attend. City council members were actually turned away at the door. While the gang violence may be a curious reason to stop by our fair city, Spokane does have an interesting link with torture: Torture Teachers

Not saying there were secret meetings in dark rooms but Spokane and gang violence seems an curious choice of involvement for our Attorney General and the link of Spokane to the hot button issue of torture makes it even more curious.

Oh yeah, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!

Pearl Jam benefit poster for CCFA

UPDATE!
On March 2nd 2007 we won an Addy award for the poster! We're pretty excited about it, we entered just 2 pieces in a competition that is quite competitive and we were in very good company as far as our competition goes.

A few months ago I contacted the Pearl Jam fan club organization The Wishlist Foundation about doing some artwork for charitable purposes. They were working with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) to raise money for research. Crohn's is something I know a lot about, as my cousin suffered from it until her death 10 years ago from complications related to the disease. When I learned that Mike McCready, the lead guitarist for Pearl Jam, had Crohn's and that there were organizations involved with fundraising to help in the struggle against this disease, I jumped at the chance to get involved. This poster is to coincide with the December 2nd Pearl Jam show in Honolulu Hawaii, 2006. It was a lot of fun, and very meaningful to work on and I'm proud we could do our part...
